I am Gus.  I am a Chihuahuas Dogg who lives in Savannah, Georgia.  My buddy, Jims, told me the history of Chihuahuas Doggs which would be my family history.  I too like history.  I too like treats.

Some archaeologists in Mexico dug in the dirt and found some Chihuahuas artifacts.  I too like to digs dirt, but not dirt on other Chihuahuas.  I to like treats.  But, I digresses.

Jims told me that Chihuahuas doggs started in Mexico many, many years ago and have doggs called the Techichi as ancestors.  They found dog pots in Colima, Mexico that was from 300 BC.  (I thinks BC means, Before Cats.)  And that is a long time ago.  Jims isn’t even that old… not quite at least.

There were dogg toys with wheels that were found in El Salvador, which is close to Mexico.  And, too they found dogg toys with wheels in the Chichen Itza pyramids.  I don’t know how, cause other archaeologist peoples says that those peoples didn’t have any wheels.  That doesn’t even make cat sense, much less peoples sense.

Jims also told me that an explorer from Europe said that Aztecs used little doggs for food.  I too don’t likes little dogs being used for peoples food, ‘cause I am a little dogg.  I am only 14 inches tall.  I too am only seven months old.  I wonder if they used cats to make doggs treats.  I too like dogg treats.  I don’t know if I would like cat dogg treats, though.  Too much fur.

They also used Chihuahuas doggs to keep warm at night.  Jims told me they used them like hot-water bottles.  Jims also told me that hot-water bottles sometime leaks in the bed.  But he told me, “No, no, Gus!  You can’t leaks in the bed or you will be in big troubles!”  I sleeps at the foot of his bed, but if I leaks like a hot-water bottles I just won’t tell him.

They too used to give Chihuahuas and sacrifices on the pyramids.  I too don’t like to be sacrificed on a pyramid.  I don’t likes heights.  Jims told me that baseball players sometime sacrifice flies.  I don’t know if they pulls the wings off first but I thinks they would fly away if they didn’t.  I too like to sacrifice flies when they fly past my bed.  I tries to bite them.

There are two kinds of Chihuahuas doggs, Smooth Coat Chihuahuas and Long Coat Chihuahuas.  I is a Smooth Coat and have short hair.  I’ve never seen a Long Coat Chihuahuas dogg, but I guess they have long hair like Bob Massey the real estate guy on Fox News.

There are two more kinds of Chihuahuas doggs too.  There are deers-heads Chihuahuas doggs and apples-heads Chihuahuas doggs.  My birth-mama was a deer heads Chihuahuas dogg and my birth-daddy was an apple-heads Chihuahua.  My vet buddy, Dr. Bink in Bluffton, says I am a mix of both.  He should have asked me.  I could have told him, ‘cause I know my birth-mama and birth-daddy.  And apples, I too like apples.  I too like treats.

Sometimes I lives the life of a doggs!

I am Gus.  I don’t understands peoples who have days off from work.  I don’t gets a days off from work.  I work as Gus the Watch Dogg everyday.  I acts as a security guard for my family.

I barks at the pool man.  I barks at Uncle Larry when he works in the garden outside.  I barks at Aunt Janice when she walks out to get the morning papers… but I too barks when she stops by to give me treats.  I too like treats.

Me and Jims on Saturday morning waiting for my buddy, Eli, and my adopted people sister, Shannons. I keep watching the door, but they don’t come because Shannons has the day off from work. It’s not fair ’cause I can’t play with my buddy Eli.

I barks when Mama Becky comes home from work and when Jims goes to the car and comes back.  I am a good barker dogg.  I does it every day.  So, why do peoples get days off?

In the summertime my buddy Eli doesn’t go to school, so he comes over to stay with Jims and Mama Becky and me.  I barks and jumps when I see him and my people sister, Shannons.  Then Shannons goes to work and Eli and I play all day.

So why do Shannons get Saturday off and doesn’t bring my buddy Eli to see me?  I too likes to play with my buddy Eli.  But I don’t gets a day off.  Sometimes I lives the life of a doggs!…

Wait…

What?

Mama Becky says that we are going to the house of Shannons and my buddy Eli and my buddies,  DP and Daniel, and my big-people buddy, Patrik, for a Fathers’ Day cookout.  I too like cookouts.  I too like hot doggs!  I too like treats.

Nevermind.

Gus goes to a wedding

I am Gus.  I went to a weddings in a park.  Miss Blake got married in a little gaze-bo house.  Some people say the little house was given to the city by an actor named Burt Reynolds.  I think maybe he may have given a street too, ’cause there is a street named Reynolds… but maybe not.  I don’t know much about weddings ‘cause I don’t even has a girlfriend.  I am only six months old.  Am I old enough to has a girlfriend?

I went to a wedding for Miss Blake in Whitfield Square in Savannah. I thought her dogg, Flo, would be there. She wasn’t.

Miss Blake looked really pretty when she was getting married.  My buddy, Morgie, took pictures and she didn’t take any of me.  That’s unusual.

Mr. Larry, Miss Blake’s dad, was the minister.

The wedding was in Whitfield Square.  Jims told me that this is one of the last squares that was laid out.  It is a divide line because when there was a war that was civil happened half the square hads houses and the other side didn’t.  If you knows houses… and I don’t… you can see the difference in them.

But, the square is really pretty for weddings.  Miss Blake chose a good place for her wedding.  I like this square.  When I grows up maybe I’ll get married here.  But, I’m not in a hurry.  I is little.  I am only six-months old.  I too think I likes weddings.  I too like treats.

I thought they were going to eats me! – Gus

I am Gus.  I thought I was going to die!  Jims and Mama Becky took me to Bass Pro Shop.  I saw lots of animals there that could eat Gus Doggs.  I thoughts they were going to eats me!  It was like a ride at the haunted places of Disneyland.  I think.  I’ve never been to the haunted places there but I’ll bet it’s scary.

I met this bears that looked really big.

So I introduced my self in dogg language… He seemed a bit surprised.

When we goes to Walmart Mama Becky smiles a lot and pushes me around in a shopping cart.  Jims follows behind looking kind of glum.  When we goes to Bass Pro Shop, Jims smiles a lot and pushes me around in a shopping cart and Mama Becky follows looking kind of glum.  I wonder why.  Maybe he likes scary places like at Disneyland’s scary places.  Jims too likes camo, that’s for sure.

Camo? Really?  I… is… CAMO!

I tried on some camo… I don’t needs camo ’cause I am a Blue Merle Chihuahuas dogg.  I is camo!  Mama Becky said to Jims, “No, no, Jims!  Gus Doggs don’t needs camo.  He lives at our house and doesn’t have to hide in the woods.”  Hmmm.  I thought it was MY house.

Mama Becky told me I am a deer-head Chihuahuas dogg. I don’t see the resemblance.

There were lots of other things at Bass Pro Shop.  There was a boy deer with antlers.  Mama Becky said I looks like a deers but I don’t see any resemblance.  Jims told her, No, no, Mama Becky,  Gus Dogg doesn’t look like a deers, he doesn’t have horns.  If he did he would look more like a jackalope.”  What’s a jackalope?

I too don’t likes black bears… They looks at me like I am a bears treat..  I too like treats, but I don’t likes to be a bears treats!

Jims would leave Mama Becky and me and smile and say, “Ooohhh!  Hats!”  And Mama Becky would say, “No, no, Jims.  You have too many hats already, but Jims still looked at hats and tried on hats.  He too likes hats.  I too like hats, but I really like treats.

Jims told me this animals was a bore. I think so too. He wouldn’t say, “Hi” or nothing.

There were lots of fishes at Bass Pro Shop too.  They live in a big fishes tank with lots of water.  You can go right up to them and talk to them, but they don’t talk much either.  One was a little blue fish that blew some bubbles and swam away.  Another was a big ugly blue fish that looked like a cats.  I too like cats, but they don’t likes me.  He didn’t look like he likes me either.  He looks like I would be a Gus-Dogg fishes treat.

I has the strange feeling that something is watching me.

I had a good time at Bass Pro Shop, but it was sometimes scary for a Gus Dogg.  I saw camo and I saw bears and I saw deers and I saw fishes.  I did see blue fishes and I counted, one fishes, two fishes.  I saw blue fishes… but I didn’t see red fishes.  But, maybe that’s another story.

I too like Bass Pro Shop because it makes Jims very happy to go there and they are doggs friendly.. well… most of them.  I give Bass Pro Shop three paws.

Gus and the Budweiser Clydesdales

I gots to see the Clydesdale bud wiser horses.  I didn’t see any baby rose-bud flowers and I didn’t hear the horses say anything smart or wise when I was there.  Maybe they were just tired from pulling the wagon.  They are powerful looking.  I think I too look wise and powerful and almost the same size in this picture.  Maybe if I get bigger I can call myself, “Gus wiser.”

I am Gus.  I got to see the Clydesdale bud wiser horses.  I didn’t see and baby rose-bud flowers and I too don’t know how much smarter or wiser the horses were, they didn’t say anything.  I guess they must be what Jims calls introverts ‘cause they didn’t say anything real smart at all.  But, they were pretty.

The bud wiser horses didn’t look that bigg to me.  He looks little in this picture and I too am little.  But he looks littler than me.  Then he gots up close.

Nope!  Nope!  NOPE!!!  He is really bigg.  I too am little.  I hides behind Jims ’cause I don’t wants to be a squished spot in a horse pen like those other squished things.

 

I thought, “they aren’t that bigg.”  And, they didn’t look bigg until I gots close.  I said, “Nope… nope… nope!  Don’t wants to get close to them.  They have bigg, heavy bigg feets.”  Mama Becky told me to stay back because I could end up like a squished spot on the ground.

I only gots this close to a bud wiser horse.  He was even bigg in this picture.  His picture made my ears flops ’cause I too am little and would make a tiny squish spot.

I would be a tiny squished spot, ‘cause I too am tiny.  I too don’t want to be a tiny squished spot in a horse pen.  There was some other squished stuff in their pens that didn’t look or smell very good.  Maybe it was squished Chihuahuas doggs.

There were lots and lots of peoples at the bud wiser horse pens.  It was a bigg tent with pens ’cause they were bigg horses.

Jims told me that the Clydesdales bud wiser horses started a long time ago even before he was born.  That must have been a really, really long time ago ‘cause Jims is really, really old.  I am only six months old, so I am not old.

This is as close as Mama Becky let me get to Barley.  I still don’t know if Barley is a boy or girl.  I looked real close on this picture, but couldn’t tell ’cause there wasn’t any sniffing opportunities.

A long time ago a man owned a beer company and couldn’t sell it ‘cause it was against the law and some people said that he couldn’t.  One of the people was a guy named Elliott Nets.  I guess he used to catch stuff with a net.  Maybe peoples who made beer.  Another man was J. Edgar Hoover.  I think he invented the vacuum cleaner or something ‘cause some peoples said he sucked at his job.  But, the beer man’s sons gave him the wagon and horses when they said he could finally make beer.  I thinks the horses and wagon was so he could ride home after the pubs closed.

This is my selfie in front of the bigg bud wiser horses truck.  They needs a bigg truck cause they are bigg horses with bigg, bigg feets that would squish Chihuahuas doggs.  I thinks my selfies are getting better and better.  You can see why Jims will sometimes call me, “It,” ’cause he says I have, “iT” written on my forehead.  I am not, “IT!”  I am GUS!

There was a spotted Dalmatian dogg there named Barley.  I whimpered, “Hi,” and barked once, but Barley didn’t say anything back.  I don’t know if Barley was a boy or girl ‘cause we didn’t get a proper dogg-sniff introduction since Barley was in a cage like the bigg horses.  Maybe Barley eats hay too.  I too don’t like to eats hay.  I too like treats.

This is Barley dogg.  I too like Barley, but I didn’t get to talk to Barley.  I barked one time, but Mama Becky said, “No, no, Gus.  Don’t barks at Barley doggs.”

Barley rides in around in a little car with Mr. William.  I too likes to ride in cars, but I always goes to sleep.  Barley’s car doesn’t have a top.  My car has a top and it’s not red, because doggs can’s see red, only blue.  I too would like to have a little red car… or maybe blue so I could see it.

Behind a big fence some of the horses were getting baths.  They looked like they liked their baths.  I don’t likes baths.  You gets all wet and it makes you shake.  I did a dogg blogg on taking a bath.  I too really, really don’t likes baths, especially step two.. and maybe that hair dryer thing.

When the horses were thorough with their baths a big person would take them to their pens.  When one came through the gate I could really see how bigg they were.  I ran and hid behind Jims, ‘cause I didn’t want to be a tiny squished spot.  I too think Jims would be a tiny squished spot, ‘cause they had bigg white fuzzy feet.

Eli and his mama, Shannon.  They are taking a selfie.  I too like selfies… and treats.

My buddy Eli went to see the bud wiser horses too.  He and his mama, Shannon, took selfies with the horses ’cause peoples could walk along and see all of them in their pens and with Barley.  They ate grass out of a bag… the bud wiser horses, not Eli and his mama.  They eat people stuff.  I too like people stuff to eat.

We had a good time.  I saw the bud wiser horses, Barley and made a new friend with a terrier dogg named Sandy Andy.  He was with his mama named Nancy.  He was little too.  We both had to be careful to stay away from the horses so we wouldn’t be squishy spots on the ground.  He was nice.

I too like the bud wiser horses.  I give them three paws.  I would give them three horses hoofs except I too don’t have hoofs.  I am a Chihuahuas dogg and only have paws.
